Just Needs A Little TLC

This little quilt from Pottery Barn Kids gets some TLC from me.

My son found this quilt in a box he purchased at a tag sale.  He wasn't buying the quilt, it was just there.  Since, I like quilts he passed it to me.  The quilt was in disrepair with some fading, a couple of  tears, even a hole.  But, all fixable if a person wanted to work on it.  This little boys quilt was much loved, like the Velveteen Rabbit.

I washed it and was really thinking it might be good to donate.  And then, my 3 year old grandson, Parker, who is a construction vehicle enthusiast, saw the quilt and became so excited.  I asked  him if he wanted the quilt--the answer was yes with the biggest smile.  What Grandmother can resist that?   So out came my thread, even a little embroidery to spruce things up.  Parker has a new "big boy" bed and I think this much used quilt will look perfect.  The quilt still has some snuggles in it and I know Parker will really love and snuggle with his new/old quilt. Linked to Off the Wall Friday and Whoop Whoop Fridays wonderful projects on both sites.  Enjoy and have a great weekend. Happy Quilting!
