Grandma Moses goes AAQI

Back in November of 2011, I talked about this vintage fabric I found at a tag sale.  The piece is quite large and I really didn't know exactly what I wanted to do with it, but I just couldn't pass it up.  The fabric was produced by Riverdale Fabrics and is based on an original painting by Grandma Moses entitled Williamstown.  I think there are many quilts in this fabric, but AAQI gets the first.
#6 in my count down to 30 is this little whole cloth.

I just selected a portion of the fabric, embellished it with beads and finished it off with hand quiting.  The little whole cloth I'll call Williamstown Church is 8 x 7 inches.  Have a wonderful weekend, Happy Quilting!

  1. I love it. I've got some similar pieces in my stash. I'll have to see what I can do with them.
