Welcome to my quilting journal. I enjoy expressing myself through fiber. Tiny pieces of fabric, vintage quilt blocks combined with hand stitches create my art. Keeping this journal helps me document my thoughts and progress. So glad you could join me, Happy Quilting.

Grandma Moses goes AAQI
Back in November of 2011, I talked about this vintage fabric I found at a tag sale. The piece is quite large and I really didn't know exactly what I wanted to do with it, but I just couldn't pass it up. The fabric was produced by Riverdale Fabrics and is based on an original painting by Grandma Moses entitled Williamstown. I think there are many quilts in this fabric, but AAQI gets the first. #6 in my count down to 30 is this little whole cloth.
I just selected a portion of the fabric, embellished it with beads and finished it off with hand quiting. The little whole cloth I'll call Williamstown Church is 8 x 7 inches. Have a wonderful weekend, Happy Quilting!
