Flannel to Flowers

Could spring be here? We are experiencing blue skies, temps in the 50's, melting snows, YEA! This little mini quilt was inspired by the thought of spring. Flannel to Flowers is a simple patchwork of 1 1/2 inch square blocks in the colors of all those warm flannel shirts of winter. Needle turned applique flowers in the corner gives promise of the warm days and bright colors of spring. Flannel to Flowers is 7 x 9 1/2 inches and will be sent to Ami Simms for the upcoming AAQI sale. Here's hoping spring will be in the air where you are, have a great weekend.

  1. I like how you added the flower to this block, very different...at least for me.

Saw your post from the other day, 35 quilts, wow. If, and that's a big if, I get all my projects done this year, it will only be 26 quilts. You go!!

    Visiting from quilting bloggers.

    Blessings,

  2. Hi Jan
I'm enjoying looking at your work. Vintage and antique repros are my favorite fabrics. It's fun to encounter others with the same taste.
Would you mind sharing with me if Etsy has been a productive venture for you? I entertain the idea, but haven't done it yet.

  3. Linda, thanks so much for joining my blog friends and for your nice comments. I have sold a few vintage items: quilt blocks, fabric, quilt etc., but I was expecting more activity. I don’t think I have really figured out how to use Etsy to my best advantage. One thing it is inexpensive to participate, so I just keep a few things out there to see what happens. Hope this is helpful---it’s worth a try
