Welcome to my patchwork journal. I enjoy expressing myself through fiber. Tiny pieces of vintage quilt blocks and fabric combined with hand stitches create my art. When not quilting I'm living a patchwork life. Always changing and helping to keep me young and on my toes. Join me in my experiences and thoughts.

Butterfly Wings
Black and gold fabrics accent this late 1800's butterfly tobacco silk. I just started sewing, choosing black, white and a touch of yellow/gold to accent this little 2 x 3 inch tobacco silk. When it reached a size perfect for AAQI---I considered it finished. I added a touch of fuzzy yarns and some wooden beads for fun. Butterfly Wings is machine quilted and measures 7 1/2 x 7 inches. What are your weekend plans? Hubby and I are headed to an Antique Show and Sale this Saturday, always love looking at vintage. Hope your weekend plans will be full of a little fun and whimsy too. Have a good one and as always Happy Quilting!

Such fun! Be sure the trim piece is still within the finished size, though. I don't think folding it up into the quilt counts...but this is just lovely and if the cute fuzzy is too long..a little snip or ribbon fold would be easy, too! Love color play, Jan!
