Bagged up and Ready to Go

I belong to a small quilting group, we call ourselves Crossroads Quilters. In January we had a AAQI challenge. Everyone made a quilt that would be sent to the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative and be put up for sale or auction. The little quilts are all bagged and ready to be mailed. The group did a wonderful job---they are all so creative and wonderful quilters. I learn so much from this little group; they keep me moving forward in the quilting journey. Do you have a group (no matter the size) that would like to have a challenge for AAQI? It's easy, decide on a date for all the quilts to be turned in, then one person is assigned Temporary Quilt Registration Goddess. She can go to the AAQI site and just follow the instruction for registration of a group of quilts. It's fun and goes for a great cause. Have a wonderful Monday and Happy Quilting!

Absolutely darling, Jan! And such a great idea! I've tried offering to be a Goddess and didn't get any legitimate takers, though I still had to walk them through all of the work of registering, anyway;) Maybe it was my flowing robes and floral headpiece that made them choose otherwise! These are so cute and such a wonderful variety, too!!!

Anyway, Michele thanks for the comment. This idea came from one of my fellow quilters, she brought to the group. Really a surprise to me, I was thrilled they wanted to help the cause. I think they all did a great job and most of them thought they could not make a small quilt or had no creatived ideas. They were really thrilled with their completed quilts. I think some will continue and make more quilts on their own, and that's what we all want.
