How Do You Fix A Quilt Top--Update

After much discussion and looking at options, we decided to take the quilt top apart.  Each block had its own issues and nothing was the same.  The blocks were not square, and even when squared there was still fullness.  We decided that the problem was the outside triangle.  So...….

We removed the triangle on each block pressed open the seam allowance.  Measured the block, which was 16" square.  Luckily, we found a vintage white fabric, that matched the center white fabric.  We cut it into 16 3/4" squares.  We then centered each circle on the newly cut squares.  Machine basted so it would stay in place.  I am now appliquéing the circles.  On Tuesday we will put the first row together to see if this works.  A second update will follow.  Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Quilting!
