Welcome to my patchwork journal. I enjoy expressing myself through fiber. Tiny pieces of vintage quilt blocks and fabric combined with hand stitches create my art. When not quilting I'm living a patchwork life. Always changing and helping to keep me young and on my toes. Join me in my experiences and thoughts.

In Time for Spring
Made this little Treasure Keeper today, just in time for Spring. A Grandmother's Flower Garden block was used and fussy cut then placed on the little bag--perfect fit. I enjoy the look of raw edges, vintage lace and imperfection of the old storage bag. It always makes me wonder what story they could tell. The top edge can be folder over or secured as is with a gold-tone safety pin. This little bag is only 5 1/2" x 5" perfect for a Spring Surprise. Check out all the Spring Surprises at Off the Wall Friday. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Quilting!

Very sweet and what a novel use for old hexie blocks!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. I love finding a new purpose for vintage fabrics.
