Cornflower Basket

#25 is an odd little AAQI quilt.  The smallest I've every made, 6 1/2" square.  It all started with a little paper pieced block I found at a tag sale in the bottom of a box of fabric.  Had no clue the name of the pattern, but to me it look like a basket of flowers and since they were blue---just reminded me of Cornflowers.  So, the name Cornflower Basket came to mind.  I then just cut pieces of fabric to make a border of prints and solids. Not much of a quilt from a creative side, but maybe this little AAQI quilt will find a nice place in someone's home.  Have a Happy Monday and Happy Quilting!

  1. I have seen that pattern..but don't know it's name. What a fun find! Don't you just love how someone else s castoff can become something so wonderful and end up going for such a great cause? Good job, Jan! Love it!
