Welcome to my patchwork journal. I enjoy expressing myself through fiber. Tiny pieces of vintage quilt blocks and fabric combined with hand stitches create my art. When not quilting I'm living a patchwork life. Always changing and helping to keep me young and on my toes. Join me in my experiences and thoughts.

Cornflower Basket
#25 is an odd little AAQI quilt. The smallest I've every made, 6 1/2" square. It all started with a little paper pieced block I found at a tag sale in the bottom of a box of fabric. Had no clue the name of the pattern, but to me it look like a basket of flowers and since they were blue---just reminded me of Cornflowers. So, the name Cornflower Basket came to mind. I then just cut pieces of fabric to make a border of prints and solids. Not much of a quilt from a creative side, but maybe this little AAQI quilt will find a nice place in someone's home. Have a Happy Monday and Happy Quilting!
