Sunday---Precious Promises

Then Jesus said to the disciples, "And so I tell you not to worry about the food you need to stay alive or about the clothes you need for your body.  Life is much more important than food, and the body much more important than clothes.  Look at the crows:  they don't plant seeds or gather a harvest; they do not have storage room or barns; God feeds them!  You are worth so much more than birds?  Can any of you live a bit longer by worrying about it?

Look how the wild flowers grow:  they don't work or make clothes for themselves.,  But I tell you that not even King Solomon with all his wealth had clothes a beautiful as one of theses flowers.  It is God who clothes the wild grass--grass that is here today and gone tomorrow, burned up in the oven.  Won't he be all the more sure to clothe you?  What little faith you have!

So don't be all upset, Always concern about what you will eat and drink. (For the pagans of this world are always concerned about all these things.)  Your Father knows that you need these things.

Instead, be concerned with his Kingdom, and he will provide you with these things.

Lord in your mercy

guide us into a holy Lent.

We seek your presence

Happy Valentine's Day

Made this little Valentine quilt years ago for the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative.  It was one of my favorites.  I enjoy combining machine quilting with hand quilting and this little quilt has plenty of both.  Hope you all have a wonderful day and as always Happy Quilting!

Making Progress

Patchwork Pup is almost complete.  He has a friend or maybe not??  This little mini has been so fun to make.  My favorite thing to do is combine machine and hand stitches, Patchwork Pup has both.

Vintage Prayer Flag

Completed a Prayer Flag this morning.  It will be in the mail today.  I'm calling it Vintage because of the fabrics.  Every piece of this flag is over 25 years old.  That's what I love about a collection of fabrics. Most of my fabrics and trims-- I would say, 99% of my fabrics and trims come from yard sales, auctions and antique shops.  The old textiles are filled with memories and the trims are wonderful for a little bling during a time that might be a little grim.  Have a wonderful Thursday and Happy Quilting!
