Welcome to my patchwork journal. I enjoy expressing myself through fiber. Tiny pieces of vintage quilt blocks and fabric combined with hand stitches create my art. When not quilting I'm living a patchwork life. Always changing and helping to keep me young and on my toes. Join me in my experiences and thoughts.

Sunday---Precious Promises Easter
Jesus drew near and said to them, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age." Matthew 28: 19-20, Good News Bible

Prayer Flag for a Sweet Lady
Another Prayer Flag is in the mail today. This one is going to a very sweet lady. She is one of my older friends, who has the most wonderful sense of humor, extremely kind and always smiling. This lady can really tell a joke. She has had surgery and is now going to have to deal with various treatments. I hope this Prayer Flag will make her smile and help her keep her strength during this difficult time. She loves her special cat companion, Simon. So I created a themed flag.
Enjoy your Wednesday and as always Happy Quilting!

Celebrating Spring
Made this little Prayer Flag this weekend to celebrate Spring. Even though we woke to snow on the first day of Spring---this little flag helped me visualize what is to come. All the element of the flag have raw edges and are cut from vintage fabrics and trims. Really a fun project. Have a great Monday and
Happy Quilting!

Sunday--Precious Promises Palm Sunday
"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" John 11: 25-26, Good News Bible

In Time for Spring
Made this little Treasure Keeper today, just in time for Spring. A Grandmother's Flower Garden block was used and fussy cut then placed on the little bag--perfect fit. I enjoy the look of raw edges, vintage lace and imperfection of the old storage bag. It always makes me wonder what story they could tell. The top edge can be folder over or secured as is with a gold-tone safety pin. This little bag is only 5 1/2" x 5" perfect for a Spring Surprise. Check out all the Spring Surprises at Off the Wall Friday. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Quilting!

Re-opened Etsy Shop
I have re-opened my Etsy Shop. Back in 2009 I created an Etsy shop to sell some of my vintage quilt blocks, fabrics and odds and ends. It was successful for the time I had it open, but as life goes I needed to close the shop the concentrate on other things. I now have time and some ideas for using my stacks of vintage fabrics and decided to start adding some items on Etsy. My goal is to keep prices reasonable, continue to add vintage fabrics, handmade items and odds and ends. In the past I have sold a few things on eBay, but I enjoy the Etsy community and the inspiration that the site offers to both buyers and sellers. I will have many items on my design wall, how about you? Check out Off the Wall to see what others are doing. Hope you will stop by my shop every now and then to see what has been added. Happy Quilting!

Sunday---Precious Promises
Happy are those whose lives are faultless, who live according to the law of the Lord. Happy are those who follow his commands, who obey him with all their heart. They never do wrong; they walk in the Lords's ways. Lord, you have given us your laws and told us to obey them faithfully. How I hope that I shall be faithful in keeping your instructions! Psalms 119:1-5, Good News Bible
