Store Has Expanded

Last year's 2012 Festival of Sharing Quilt Store.  Each year our church hosts the Festival of Sharing Quilt Show.  It is to show the quilts that will be offered for auction in October.  All proceeds go to missions world wide and locally.  Each year the Lydia Circle (the quilters) sells donated quilting and sewing items.  We donate all our proceeds to the Festival of Sharing.  It's fun and we all get an opportunity to put those bits and pieces in our sewing rooms to good use for a good cause.  Our shop has grown and so did our donation.

We are now a three table shop.  It was a great quilt show and we are already stocking up for next year.  Have a wonderful Wednesday and Happy Quilting!

Angels Among Us

My hubby and I have had a very interesting past few days.  We found ourselves in a situation, one we really didn't know how to handle.  Kinda crazy, we knew it was a good situation, but not how good.  Ever have that happened?   What was the right thing to do?  And then out of the blue a perfect stranger emailed us with the answer.  We have since taken this persons advice and even talked by phone to our stranger/angel.  This little situation has turned into a blessing that we needed at just the right time and an angel among us helped to make that happen.  I've always believed that if we listen carefully we can find those angels in almost everything we do. This was not the first angel in my life and I know he will not be my last.   I also believe that we can be that angel for others.  Take a few minutes --- Alabama's beautiful song says it all.

A Time To Remember

Christmas Quilt Continues

I'm still a little behind on making the quilt blocks for the Aiming for Accuracy quilt, but here's the latest.  I believe this one is #5.  I'm hoping that all these various scraps go together well when the quilt top is complete.  My goal was to use what I have on hand.  I added some new Christmas prints to this block and will be incorporating them in future blocks.  I love the dog print and the polka dots, but I don't have a large amount,  so they will be sprinkled here and there.  I have blocks #6 and #7 cut, and ready to assemble.  Maybe I'll catch up !!!  Happy Monday and as always Happy Quilting!
